Critique the 4 "smart clothes" items that were shown in the CNETTV video. Would these be items that you would purchase, if available? What do you think of the design? Do they look fashionable to you? What would you estimate that the price of these items would be?

ReplyDeleteI would definitely buy the suit and backpack. I really like the suit design and the backpack doesn't look bad either. They said the suit was $500, but I think the backpack would be around $100 or $150.
ReplyDeleteThe smart clothes seem a little ridiculous, to be completely honest. While there's nothing wrong with them design wise, they seem to just be more expensive clothes with some neat tricks included. We already have practical technology to account for most of these features, meaning that it's all a bit much. However, having said that, the solar powered bag seems pretty useful, mostly because of the fact that it allows you to charge your phone using green energy.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea is very useful to daily life. I also think that the price range would be very expensive then after awhile they will go down because they are not in people price range. I think they do look fashionable but the people who made "smart clothes" still have a lot of progress to do.
ReplyDeleteI personally wouldn't buy them because I only wear casual cloths. I estimate the price of the cloths will be more than I will ever be willing to pay. solar panels serve no use to me as I hate the outdoors, and natural light.
ReplyDeleteI think the design of the items is a little old fashion so i think if they made some of it in like Nike or under Armour some of the younger people would buy it. I think depending on what you buy it could be from $500 to $1000.

ReplyDeleteI don't really like any of the ideas. I don't think they're solving any "real problems". I'm not gonna pay $500 for a button that unlocks my phone when it literally takes me 3 seconds to do manually with my finger. Same with the silent button, it takes LESS than 3 seconds to do that manually too. I just think this idea is a waste. My fingers work just fine and i will remain buying regular clothes that don't unlock my phone or put it on silent & i think ill be just fine.
ReplyDeleteI think some of the ideas like the weight belt because it is fashionable and it could help you see if your gaining weight.It can also track your eating and if you are eating to much.
ReplyDeleteI think that this is a really cool item. I think it is fashionable to men but I didn't see something that I would wear. I would purchase the item if it had clothes that I would wear. I believe it would be $300 or more depending on the clothing. I believe that they would make a lot of money if they sold this.
ReplyDeleteI think that the hand bag is pretty nice.You don't have to remember a car charger.But there is so problems with the hand bag. For instance what would happen if you'd drop the bag in a puddle? It might short out your phone.

ReplyDeleteI think I would like the Solar panels for book bags, purses of that sort for that would come in handy almost everyday. Usually I forget my charger at home so having a Solar powered bag with me. I would definitely purchase this item is it was available. Not too sure about fashionable but who cares, I do think it would a little pricey though.
ReplyDeleteI would not purchase them for myself, I'm more of casual dresser. The design is nice, I think it's an interesting idea. They look very fashionable to me. I think all of the items will be outrageous and cost a lot of money if ever released.
ReplyDeleteI would not want to buy these items. I just do not like the design on them and would not purchase it. For some reason they do not look fashionable to me. I would rather wear normal clothes than to wear smart clothes. I would refer to keep it old school than new school.
ReplyDeleteI would not purchase these items because they could be fake.I think the weight belt design is cool, but I'm not for sure that it is a good idea to purchase it. They do not look fashionable to me, I think they look boring. I don't think that too many people would buy these. I imagine that the prices of these items are somewhat expensive.
ReplyDeleteNO I WOULD NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM.THE DESIGN ITSELF IT VERY COOL AND UNIQUE. YES,THE SUIT LOOKS VERY FASHIONABLE TO ME BECAUSE IT THE SUIT LOOKS VERY STYLIST AND COOL. I THINK THE PRICE FOR THIS ITEM WOULD BE AROUND 15,000 BECAUSE OF THE POPULARITY RATE.
ReplyDeleteI think that the purse would be something I would buy, but the other items I wouldn't. I think that it's a fantastic idea, how ever the belt is a bit much you should know when your gaining weight, it does't take a belt to tell you that. the purse and belt looks like it's in style, the backpack not so much.
